With age, changes in the metabolic processes of structural components of the skin lead to visible signs of aging, such as increased dryness and wrinkle formation.
The nutritional supplement, Pure Gold Collagen(®), which consists of hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and minerals, was developed to counteract these signs.
An open-label study was conducted to investigate the effects of this nutritional supplement on skin properties.
Supplementation with 50 mL of Pure Gold Collagen on a daily basis for 60 days led to a noticeable reduction in skin dryness, wrinkles, and nasolabial fold depth (see photo for example of nasolabial area).
In addition, a significant increase in collagen density and skin firmness was observed after 12 weeks. The data from this study suggest that Pure Gold Collagen can counteract signs of natural aging. BUT, a placebo controlled study would be necessary to confirm the data above.
(Nasolabial is the area above the lip and below the nose)
Please see the full study which is available at the link below for the complete scientific details which were published in the Clinical Journal of Interventional Aging.
I am not personally recommending any anti-aging cream at this time but the results of this study on Pure Gold Collagen are impressive.
I checked a couple of “gold” products out on Amazon.com. for customer satisfaction (the ultimate test) and price.
At the time of this writing, Pure Gold Collagen (Minerva Research Labs) has 5 total reviews: 80% 5-stars and 20% 1-star. Searching a little deeper and looking at other Gold products I found LA PURE 24K Gold Eye Treatment Mask. The LA Product was reviewed 226 times with 91% 5-star and 6% 4-star. Some of these products are real budget busters while others are quite affordable. No product compares to the cost and risks associated with plastic surgery.
