Men in particular should check with their doctor before beginning the Anti Aging Diet. Though I do not generally support hormone supplementation as necessary to succeed with the Anti Aging Diet, a male over 40 should be checked for testosterone and estrogen levels by their physician.
Numerous studies show that boosting testosterone in males is associated with decreased abdominal fat, reverses glucose intolerance and reduces lipoprotein abnormalities. ( Tenover et al)
